Course Description

This practical, single-module course is designed to guide healthcare professionals through the process of attending a Fitness to Practise (FtP) hearing. Whether you are currently facing a hearing or supporting someone who is, the course outlines what to expect on the day, who will be present and their roles, and how to prepare both practically and emotionally. By the end, learners will have a clearer understanding of each stage of the hearing process and feel more confident in how to engage with it.

This course includes a comprehensive quiz to test your understanding and encourages you to complete a reflective activity. This can be used as evidence of learning in your CPD log and shared with the NMC as part of your remediation and professional development.

Certification

Participants who complete the module and quiz will receive a Certificate of Completion in Attending a Fitness to Practise Hearing – What to Expect. This certificate reflects your proactive effort to understand the FtP process and prepare constructively for your hearing.
