Who are NMCWatch?
NMCWatch: registrant care CIC empowers nurses and midwives through professional investigations with peer support, and Fit 2 Practise is proud to work hand-in-hand with them.
Non-judgmental support for registrants under investigation
NMCWatch is a community interest company providing a non-judgmental support, advice and advocacy service for nurses, midwives and nursing associates regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Their team of experienced registrants and advocates — many with first-hand experience of the Fitness to Practise process — walk alongside people through some of the hardest moments of their professional lives.
NMCWatch was founded by Cathryn Watters — a registered nurse who went through her own NMC investigation, and the founder of Fit 2 Practise. The two organisations share the same heart: nobody should face the process alone.

NMCWatch is funded by donations from its members and supporters. When you buy a course or work with a mentor at Fit 2 Practise, you're also helping fund free peer support, advocacy and a community for registrants who need it — enabling that vital work to continue.
How we work together
NMCWatch offers peer support and advocacy; Fit 2 Practise offers courses, templates and workbooks, 1:1 mentorship and a CV writing service for returning to work. Many registrants use both.
Is NMCWatch part of the NMC? No. NMCWatch and Fit 2 Practise are both independent of the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Fit 2 Practise does not give legal advice; for that, speak to your union or a regulatory solicitor.
